The Oxford Summer Academy - an academic and cultural program in Oxford, England, for high-school students

Dr Alexis Lansbury BSc, PhD, BA (Oxon), MSt (Oxon)
Alexis has degrees from the universities of London and Oxford. Like Mario, her early career was as a research scientist and university lecturer. More recently, Alexis has focused on the humanities, taking degrees in history and medieval history. In 2002, Alexis joined Mario at Oxford International College as head of the faculty of mathematics and physics and between 2006 and 2009, was involved in running the Oxford Science Studies vacation courses. In 2009, Alexis co-founded The Oxford Summer Academy with Dr Mario Peters.

Dr Mario Peters BSc, MSc, DPhil (Oxon)
Mario has degrees from the universities of London, Edinburgh, and Oxford. His early career was as a research scientist at Oxford, where he worked in the field of space technology, developing scientific instruments for NASA space missions. In 1997, Dr Mario Peters founded Oxford Science Studies, an organisation dedicated to helping students reach the high academic standards necessary to gain admission to top UK universities. In 2002, Mario was one of the founders of Oxford International College, an independent high-school in Oxford catering for the needs of UK and international students seeking entry to leading universities worldwide. In 2008 Oxford International College opened its first international high-school in Shanghai, and in 2009 a further centre opened in Qingdao, China. In 2009, Mario co-founded The Oxford Summer Academy with Dr Alexis Lansbury.
